3 years ago today I had a total thyroidectomy for a rare thyroid cancer . My labs were always normal, my symptoms were vague . I had a husband and 3 little humans at home that were the catalyst for not skipping my check ups . Was it scary ? Yes. Was it hard ? Yes . But now when I see the girl in this photo I smile because she reminds me of just how much we can overcome . I didn’t know it then but that feeling I had in that bed of needing more , fueled so much of my drive today. Regulating my symptoms of post thyroidectomy life, raising 3 kids , starting a business while still working full time at a hospital . Is it hard ? Yes . But we can do hard things . 🦋💪
